Children up to and including 6 years old enter the festival free of charge. The discounted ticket applies to children aged 7 to 15, students up to 26, seniors over 65 and disability card (ZTP and ZTP/P) holders. ZTP and ZTP/P holders receive a free ticket for their companion.

You may have noticed that during the Friday and Saturday concerts in 2025 the grounds were truly “full of life”. To make sure you feel comfortable and safe with us, without crowds, we are introducing a limited number of tickets for the upcoming year.

Don’t worry – there will be enough for all the wanderers who came to Lughnasad 2025, and then some. This is not a dramatic restriction, but a step to keep the festival atmosphere pleasant and give the venue room to breathe.

For us, Lughnasad is a place of meeting, ease, inspiration and shared experience – and we want it to stay that way. That is why we are making sure the capacity does not overflow and everyone has space to enjoy the festival to the fullest.

Unlike the historical programme ticket, the full-day ticket also includes the evening concerts, which always start at 18:30.

In the pre-sale you can buy a ticket at a discounted price until a set date, which also comes with a discount on a T-shirt with the current festival design. Just before the festival, the pre-sale price and the price at the gate are the same. Keep in mind, though, that a ticket bought online saves you time when you first arrive at the festival gates.

The Lughnasad International Festival of Celtic Culture takes place at the Land of the Celts open-air museum at Nasavrky 409, 538 25. Direct buses to Nasavrky run for example from Pardubice, Chrudim or Hlinsko. From the bus stop on the Nasavrky square it is about a kilometre on foot to the Land of the Celts. If you come by car, you can use the parking meadow roughly 700 m from the museum.

Lesní street, which leads to the festival entrance, is closed to traffic for the entire duration of the festival for the safety of visitors and to keep the event’s service traffic flowing. If entry were allowed, it would significantly complicate supply runs and performer transport, and we could not guarantee safe visitor movement at the entrance to the grounds.

There is a dedicated station for the youngest children in the back part of the open-air museum – a tent equipped with changing mats, toys and a calm space. The station is marked on the venue map, which you will find here on the website and in the mobile app.

They are, but your dog must be kept on a lead at all times and you must clean up after it responsibly.

In the supervised lockers by the main entrance to the grounds. We strongly recommend using the lockers and not leaving valuables in your tent – we cannot guard the tent village as well, and we don’t want you to take home a bad experience instead of your valuables. Larger items, such as jackets, also fit in the lockers.

The nearest ATM is on the square in Nasavrky, about a kilometre from the festival grounds. If you withdraw a larger amount, we recommend not leaving it in your tent overnight and using the supervised lockers instead.

The lost and found point is located by the lockers next to the main entrance to the grounds.

You may bring your own food and drinks, though you probably won’t need them – the grounds will host a range of stalls as well as the U Dubového Kelta tavern. Bringing your own alcoholic drinks into the grounds is not permitted.

Yes, you can refresh yourself and get a drink in several places – there is a water tank by the tent village, drinking water runs in the toilets of the administration building on the festival grounds, and drinking water is also available in the grove in the open-air museum.

Smoking is allowed in the front part of the festival grounds. Smoking is strictly forbidden within the open-air museum.

You will find the programme overview in the festival app and on the festival website. A printed programme will be posted at prominent spots around the festival grounds.

By attending the Lughnasad International Festival of Celtic Culture you consent to being recorded during the festival. The footage may be published on the festival’s website and social media, in the festival’s promotional materials and in materials published by media companies or partners of the event.

The medics provide first aid at the festival in emergencies where you cannot help yourself with the means available, or treat you and hand you over to the emergency services. They do not carry commonly available medicines that normally belong in a personal first-aid kit.

If needed, there is a pharmacy on the square in Nasavrky.

Selecting the bands is a very demanding task – it is the most expensive part of the programme, yet our resources are quite limited. We want to maintain both quality and affordable ticket prices, so each year we try to balance the line-up so you can hear your favourite acts from both the Czech Republic and abroad, while also discovering new and up-and-coming stars of Celtic and Irish folk.

Bands like Faun, Wardruna and Heilung play standalone concerts, and as you surely know, their ticket prices are in a different league than a ticket to our festival. Inviting them to our stage is simply beyond our means.

We are also often asked about a concert by Omnia – we have been in touch with the band several times, but they have not performed for several years and are not planning a return to the stage.

Simply put: everything! From ticket sellers to the festival director, we are all volunteers, taking part purely out of enthusiasm that the Czech Republic can have a festival like Lughnasad.

Besides the good feeling? Yes! Before the festival itself, volunteers can take part in various team-building activities such as a get-to-know-you meetup, and after the festival there is a post-festival sharing session. Volunteers get free entry to the event and free meals throughout. They also get to see the organisation of a large public event from the other side and gain valuable experience. On top of that, they can request a certificate of volunteer work. And what’s more – they become part of a unique organising team and experience unforgettable moments.
